Papertake Weekly - Sketch Challenge

When I got home tonight I had a great package full of goodies from Tracy at Dies to Die for for my design team duties. This was just the incentive I needed to get back into my craft room!

I decided to use the great sketch on Papertake Weekly to make a card for my gran who hasn't been too well and is waiting for test results. The cute little owl stamp and great papers are both available at Dies to Die For. Sorry for the pic, but it's back to struggling to get a decent picture in our lovely winter!

Stamp - Pink Cat Studio
Papers - Doodlebug
Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis
Glitter - Stickles
Sentiment - Whispers stamp

Thank You and Secret Sister

Blimey I am hopeless at this blogging lark lately and my card making has been just the same lately, although I have had the urge tonight to get into my craft room!!!!

Everything is very hectic with me at the moment, now over 15 weeks pregnant and I have my second mid wife app tom! Hope to hear babies heart beat, as it seems ages since we had our scan. Work is still up in the air, but I am now a point of contact between both sales team, so my work load had gone mad, although whilst I'm doing this I know I'll have a job :o)

Anyway I just want to say thanks to Michelle at Card Grotto for the lovely card below, check out her blog as the picture on there is miles better.

Also, Michelle organised a Secret Sister swap and this is the lovely card that I received and the goodies. Can't wait to have a play, so huge hugs to my sista xx

Papertake Weekly - Autumn Haze

This weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly is Autumn Haze, anything to do with Autumn. Struggled with this as I have no stamps that I thought would fit or any papers in the right colours. Then I found a kit from Silver Hat last year and I thought the flowers and ribbon were perfect. Its a very simple design, bit I wanted the flowers to speak for themselves (plus I think I was getting a bit tired by this point on Wed night!)

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

Another card, another challenge! This time's it's a fab sketch by Nikki at A Spoon Full of Sugar.

Although I have loads of the Sugar Nellie, this little boy with his balloon has to be the one I have used the most.

Stamp - Sugar Nellie
Paper - Dovecraft Masculine
Embossing - Cuttlebug Swiss Bots
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat

Penny Black Saturday - One for the Girls

Well I had a lovely time on Wednesday night crafting and got a few challenges done. This is for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge, which is one for the girls.

I love this Penny Black stamp and decided to use a different colour scheme than pink!

Stamp - Penny Black Light the Night
Paper - Dovecraft
Flower - Bazzill
Brad - Papermania
Glitter - Stickles
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards

I have awards

I have had a couple of awards and it makes me feel like I am back in the land of blogging!!!

I received this off Viv at Crafting Haven ...

and received this one from Julie at Simply Jools.

I am passing this onto all the lovely people who left me comments on my post of my news!!!

Also, I have cards to show, which I will add later when I get home. Stayed up until 11 pm on Wednesday night crafting and watching Desperate Housewives and really got back into it. Only problem was I was so tired last night, I just couldn't bring myself to turn on the computer :o)

A card, big thank yous and great blog candy

Firstly I want to say a big thank you to everyone that has left such lovely comments to my post below. Great to know people had missed me as well :o)

Well I have at last make a card using a new Penny Black stamp I got a few weeks ago. I have used a piece of lilac chiffon material that my mum had saved me and I really like the effect.

Stamp - Penny Black Butterfly Bear
Flower - Stash
Brad - Papermania
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
I also thought I would show you the lovely card that I received of Michelle at Card Grotto a few weeks ago with some great images.

Also a big Thank You to Natalie at Crafting Fun who sent me this gorgeous card today and these images to play with. I'm really excited about getting into my craft room tonight and having a go at creating something!

Lastly, the lovely Gina at The Card Kabin is back and she has a great christmas blog candy giveaway. All you need to do is leave her a comment and post a link on your blog!

How long since I've posted!!!

Blimey I really can't believe how long it is since I have posted or sat down to make a card. Still no card making going on, but I'm hoping that I'll be back in the swing of things shortly. I thought I would let you all know why I have been so absent lately and not had any mojo for crafting (even thought of selling my stash on ebay but realised I was being a bit drastic).

Well I'm 3 months pregnant!!!! We're really excited and although I have been really lucky and had no morning sickness, I have been exhausted after a days work that I'm in bed by 9! My weekend afternoons when I used to craft have been replaced with an afternoon nap. Everyone tells me the next 3 months you get your energy back, so hopefully I can get back to normal a bit.

I've just been having a quick look round all my favourite blogs and I can't believe what I have been missing out on. I am loving the Forever Friend stamps and papers and the new Elzybell stamps. Not sure when I will be treating myself to new crafting goodies though, as the company I work for had just had a hostile takeover and I'm someone who automatically thinks the worse will happen!

Off now for a look round some more blogs!
