Sweet Sugar Challenge 6

This weeks challenge over at Sweet Sugar Challenge is to make a card without using all your lovely backing papers!!!

Being told not to do something was like being a teenager again and I wanted to fight back, so I cheated a bit and created my own backing paper with a Hero Arts background stamp and my versamark ink pad.

Stamp - Sugar Nellie
Background stamp - Hero Arts
Ribbon - Ribbon Oasis
Embossing - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
Buttons - Papermania
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat

First Sweet Sugar Challenge

The first challenge is over at Sweet Sugar Challenges, for all you lovers of Sugar Nellie stamps - the link is under challenges on the left hand side.

'Here we are, welcome to the very first challenge at Sweet Sugar Challenges! We hope that you will find our challenges and cards inspiring and that you will all join in!So, to our very first challenge, it is.......stars and stripes. The challenge team have made some fabulous cards! Isn't funny how we have all used the rock star stamp! Remember that you don't have to use this stamp, you can use any of the Sugar Nellie stamps!'

We have all grabbed the same stamp for this challenge, I did think about the cowboy but thought that was too obvious. Good job I didn't use a big star as well, but decided to use my star as the'A' in Rockstar. The strippy paper is from pink petticoat, the embossing has been done with the Spots & Dots cuttlebug embossing folder, rockstar has been cut out using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge on my cricut and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.
