Forever Friends Christmas

I love the new Forever Friends stamps and Gina kindly sent me some images as I am meant to be saving for the baby, esp as my job is uncertain as our company was bought in a hostile takeover! The only problem is after using these today, I have fallen even more in love with them. Hubby has said that he's sure that a little crafting treat won't break the bank, so I might have to take him up on that offer!

Black & White Birthday Card

It seems ages since I've had an desire to make a card, but I think I have realised why I lost my mojo. I've always done quiet simple cards and always stuck with the less is more moto!!! I think with all the fantastic blogs around and the talented card makers I started to doubt how good my own cards were against their creations. Decided to go back to my old style, they might not be the most imagitive cards, but the ones that I enjoy making the most.

Anyway I had this image from Hans and I just love it, so decided to make a girlie card with it.

New goodies and a card

I nipped into my local Craft Central as I had run out of envelopes and there is a sales starting tomorrow and they'd started to put things out for it. I bought there DCWV stacks for £3 each, what a bargain, also popped in some of the 99p alphabet stamps.
I've made this card for one of my blogging buddies birthday's, I got this image in a swap and it's a great image that I thought it was perfect without any colour!

Blimey at last some cards

Blimey I have hardly been in my craft room lately, with all this lovely weather it seems a shame to be stuck in doors. I have managed to fit in a couple of cards, although I'm not sure how happy I am with this first one, it just didn't turn out how I imagined!

Pink Petticoat cards

Made a few Pink Petticoat cards yesterday, as I think these images are great and I never have many flowery cards made up. All images coloured with Marvy Le Plume pens and I have added Liquid Pearls to the centre of each of the flowers.

Good luck in your New Job Emma!!

My friend Emma from our Leeds office is leaving for pastures new and I wanted to make her a card. I decided that instead of a Sorry Your Leaving I would do a good luck card, as I think leaving is the best thing for her as she wants to progress her career!!
NB - I forgot to say that this layout was taken from Natalie's blog and the lovely card she made last week! Thanks for the inspiration Nat

My mojo has gone!

Well my mojo seems to have gone missing, if anyone finds it can they please send it home!!!! Don't think it helps that we have had a hectic weekend and I'm feeling terrible. We have made 5 trips to the tip with rubbish from our building work and 2 trips to B&Q. Not to mention I've had to get my mum to do our washing as our washing machine has been disconnected until after the new kitchen arrives, so I've had to go over and pick it up from them.

This is another card made using Stamping Bella from First Class Crafts. I coloured this and yesterdays image on Friday night and it's taken me ages to finish this card today!!!

Tilda & Co Challenge - Mix & Match

The challenge over on Tilda & Co is Mix & Match, use 2 Magnolia Stamp images together to make 1 Image. Now this could be a simple as ,Taking a Tilda Stamp with a Basket and removing this and adding a Heart from another magnolia stamp so she is holding that instead of the basket, Or it could be as simple as Tilda's Head on a Magnolia Horse.

Well I couldn't bring myself to cut the head of one of my Tilda's so I used this bench that I had received in a PIF candy and my new Magnolia Stamp.

Tilda & Co Challenge - Spring is in the Air

I've not managed to take part in the last couple of Tilda Challenge's, so I wanted to make sure I got in early for this weeks. "As spring is almost upon us, the first signs are there now, the spring bulbs, the baby lambs are out already, I thought it was time to get those spring and Easter projects under way!" I'm not one for Easter cards, but I had this image from Hans which is gorgeous and I thought I'm make a card for my Aunty and Uncle who live in America.

Sorry the top paper isn't very clear, but it has lovely spring says all over it. Just a nightmare to get a decent picture!

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Heart's Desire

This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is Heart's Desire. 'Please could we see some hearts (or a heart lol!) on your cards this week? Already done your Valentine's cards? How about doing a Wedding / Anniversary / engagement or birthday card! We don't mind which - as long as there's a heart or two...or three.....!!!'

I decided to use this Magnolia image that Jo from Only-Joking sent to me (although I have had to buy this stamp now!!). I watercoloured and paper pieced her and added stickles to her wings. I cut out a large heart with my Cricut for her to sit in. The Happy Birthday sentiment is an A Muse Art stamp and I cut with my scalloped circle and added to the side on the heart. The card has been covered in paper from this Christmas DCWV pack and heart jewels added to the corners.

Another Christmas Lola

This is another image that has been waiting to be made into a card. REally simple as I was getting tired, I covered the card with paper from this Christmas stack from DCWV. I then mounted Lola and a Pink Petticoat sentiment onto red card.

I've only got Thursday in work and then I have a long weekend. Going out for lunch with Mum & Dad on Friday afternoon, as it's Mum's birthday this weekend. Still haven't got our tree up, we started it tonight and then our new lights wouldn't work!!!! We have to get them replaced at the weekend, can't believe that it's still not done. I have put all the other decs up and also a bare tree ready for the lights when we get them.

Best get to bed now, didn't realise it was past 11 and on a school night :o)

Pink Petticoat Christmas Cards

Made a couple more Christmas cards, using Pink Petticoat images.

The first card is using the Lolas Occasion collection and I have coloured her with watercolour pencils and added stickles. I've then mounted her onto great card and also mounted a Pink Petticoat sentiment onto green card. I've then covered a square card in paper from the new DCWV christmas stack and added Lola to the left hand side of the card, the sentiment at the bottom right and 3 little stars to the top right.

The second card I have covered a DL card in Doodlebug papers. I've then punched out 3 cupcakes with hollie and coloured them in with Marvy Le Plume pens and added stickles to the frosting and edged the circle in red ink. Then mounted onto card and finished with a Pink Petticoat sentiment edged in red.

Just Bex Friday Challenge - Happy Holly Days

The challenge this Friday was to make 5 cards all with holly on them. I really struggled with this one as i don't have that many holly things in my stash, so I have to resort to my huge pile of Anita's peel off that I got for about 35p a pack at the QVC outlet shop!

First one I used my new Quickutz candle die and added holly at the base, I mounted this onto cream card and a red scalloped circle. Covered a square card with paper from last years DCWV Christmas stack and added DCWV ribbon across the centre of the card. Mounted a Seasons Greetings peel off to finish the card.

This card I have used a Anita's peel off Christmas pudding with holly on top. I've coloured the waste and then added to the peel off. Mounted this onto red card and put an eyelet and ribbon at the top. Mounted holly paper onto red card and added this across the middle of the card. Peel off greeting at the bottom that has been coloured red.

This was based on an idea I had seen on Pootles blog. I have added some paper from last years DCWV Christmas stack mounted onto green card across the middle of the card. Coloured in some peel offs green and added his above and below. I then mounted 3 epoxy stickers onto green circles, the first one says santa, the middle one is holly and the last one says ho ho ho. Struggled to get a good picture of this one.

My mum had asked me to make some quick and simple Christmas cards for her to give to friends, so I used this Anita's peel off and coloured in using Marvy Le Plume pens. Simply mounted onto gold card and added to a tall thin card with a gold greeting.

The stamped image I got in a swap with Julie at Julie's Japes, which I coloured using Marvy Le Plume pens and red stickles for the berries. I add holly paper to the bottom of a DL card and added red card to finish off. ended up having to add holly to the paper as I got red stickles glue on it and I'm not sure I'm as happy with it.

More Mr Frosty Cards

Well I've made a couple more cards with the new fella in my life, Mr Frosty. he is just so easy to stamp up and colour. Again the pics are rubbish but it is 10 at night!

Paper is DCWV Christmas stack from last year and christmas paper from partners and the red card has been embossed with the snowflake folder. Sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and peel off is an Anita's
