Girlie Birthday card
This card was continuing my quest to use up my huge collection of embellishments, as it was getting ridiculous. I like this layout, as you can use a small embellishment or image and it looks great!

My Paper World - Sketch 5
I love the sketchs over at My Paper World and this is my take on the current one. I've had this embellishment since a show last year and it's always handy to have a car card make ready.

New Goodies
Been a funny week, as I've had no time to craft!! We've had a new boiler fitted, moved it to a new location and the house has been a mess for 3 days. As we live in an old house, our piping also needed to me changed as it didn't meet new regs, so they had to take up my lovely new carpets so they could put the piping under the floors boards through to the kitchen (although you would never tell they had the carpets up). Finally managed to get the house tidy, I can't believe how much dust it caused. Our next job is to sort out our extension that hasn't been finished very well and make it into a kitchen diner, so I'm thinking of moving over to my parents whilst that happens!
Anyway, I had some lovely surprising in the post to put a smile back on my face. My new penny black stamps arrived from HM Stamps and I also ordered the magnolia chair and some EZ mount from Joanna Sheen.
Also my nestabilities arrived from Cuts @ Home, worked out about £33 for the set of 4 and also my Pink Cat Studio stamps. Just waiting for another delivery of Penny Black stamps and also the Lola & Simon Sugar Nellie stamps, also putting in my pre-order for the gorgeous new Little Cotton Rabbit set!
Looking forward to a crafting day tomorrow and catching up on some challenges.

Sue's Blog Candy
Sue over at Slumber Cards has a great blog candy to win a couple of the next Sugar Nellie stamps. The challenge is to make a card in Sue's favourite colour lilac, which is also mine along with pink!
I covered a square card with lilac paper from Pink Petticoat and then added a strip of lilac c.s. and another lilac paper from Pink Petticoat across the centre of the card. I then stamped maggie with her flowers and used a mixture of watercolour and paperpiercing. She is then mounted onto lilac card and added to the left had side of the card. Finished with a Craftwork card greeting and white flower secured with a papermania jewel brad.

Bad bloggers & Papertake Weekly
Blimey it seems like I've not posted for ages and I've hardly had time to visit all the blogs that I love this week.
Anyway, I needed to make a card for a teenage girl and I really haven't been in a creative mood this week, so I thought I would keep it simple!! The stripy paper I have had for ages and I love the colours as its so bright and girly and it will suit the papertake weekly challenge to use stripes. Theses embellishments matched it perfectly and I used a greeting from Craftwork Cards.
I thought this layout was great for using little embellishment, so I made a couple of baby cards using Crafty Bitz embellishments.

Kimmies Challenges - # 2 & # 6
I love Kimmies Blog and she has been having a week of challenges to celebrate her birthday. I made this card for the Sketch Challenge # 2, but thought it would also work for Challenge # 6, which is to make a Thank You or Thinking of You or You are Special to Me card as this magnolia image just says thinking of you!
I used an image from Jo at Only Joking, coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils and then cut out. I mounted her to white c.s. and then pink c.s. and glittered her wings. I then added bright pink c.s. to the left hand side, black chiffon ribbon from this months Little Silver Hat kit and pink heart buttons. The swirly paper is from Pink Petticoat and I cut it with the attachment on my new guillotine/paper trimmer. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I added 3 little heart jewels to the bottom right hand corner.

Blog Candy Winner
Firstly I would like to thank everyone that took the time to enter a card, I've been overwhelmed by the response. My hubby Matt has now choosen a winner, after about half an hour trying to make his mind up of his favourite.
I pleased to say that the winner is Michelle at Card Grotto. He loved the simplicity of the design (lets hope that wasn't why he choose to marry me!) and the cute little elephant on the front. Michelle, can you let me have your address and I will get your goodies posted out to you.

Kimmie Challenge #3 & Papertake Weekly
Kimmie has a week of challenge's over on her blog to celebrate her birthday and the third challenge is to make a card with spring colours. The challenge over on Papertake Weekly is 'Blooming Gorgeous!' is to use floral embellishments on your projects.
I coloured this Penny Black image that Natty K gave me last Sunday night in front of the telly and I thought it fitted the bill. I then mounted it onto yellow and orange c.s. and also mounted a Pink Petticoat sentiment the same. I then embossed yellow c.s. and added this to orange c.s. Orange primas attached with yellow brads finished the card. I've used the layout loads, but just wanted to say big thanks to Michelle at Card Grotto as it was inspired by her layout originally.

Hans Blog Candy
Han has a fantastic blog candy over on her blog, http://hanscraftycreations.blogspot.com/, she also does some stunning cards. The challenge was to make a mothers day card and matching tag.
I've seen loads of concertina tags, but it took a couple of goes before I got it right!!!! The tag was cut with the traditional Super tag die on my big shot, I've then covered it with this lovely checked paper from the Aspen range from Karen Neuburger. I then cut out the MUM from flowery paper from the same range of Aspen paper, plant pots out of blue card and fixed them together with wire. I then added blue chiffon ribbon to each tag.
I also made a smaller traditional tag from the same paper and cut our MUM in blue card and added thinner chiffon ribbon.
