At last a card!

At last I got to sit down and do some crafting and I used this lovely image from Natalie. She is definitely going to the top of my wish list, although I was lucky enough to also get a few images of her from Michelle so should have enough to keep me going for a while!

The winner as chosen by my hubby out of a hat is Pam from Handcrafted with Love. Well done Pam, can you please e-mail me your address and I will get your Magnolia stamp in the post to you. Matt wouldn't let me take a picture of him choosing the winner, as he was too shy to be on my blog!!!!

Cute Card Thursday - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, to make a girlie card.

I made this wallet card to send some images over to Natalie to say thanks for mine! I've had this Magnolia stamps for ages and I've never used her. I will from now on as she is gorgeous.

Stamp - Magnolia
Paper - Free from Magazine
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat

Thank you Natalie

Look at the lovely wallet card and images that Natalie from Crafting Fun sent to me, it's gorgeous. Really cheered me up as I'm a bit fed up with living in a tip and all the work we are having done. We've started painting the extension and the ceiling is now done and we have done a base coat on the wall, just another 2 coats on the walls tomorrow to look forward to!

Also I'm slightly miffed as we came home last night and someone has stolen our Wheelie Bin, can you believe it. Who would want a dirty, empty bin. Now we have to find out where you get a new one from.

No time to craft :o(

Well we have been so busy with the house, that I've not had time to craft since the weekend :o( The kitchen/dining room is really starting to come together now. The walls and ceiling have been plastered, the new window and french doors are in and we have had the cupboards fitted on one side. The plumber is here next Mon/Tues to sort out the plumbing and then the other side of the kitchen can be finished.

We are painting the ceiling and walls in the extension side, so that the flooring can also be started at the end of next week.

Hopefully I can get some cards made soon, I am still checking out blogs but I don't always have time to leave comments! Can't wait for normal service to restart, as I hate to be parted from my crafting

Big day tomorrow, the plasterers are arriving to do the extension, the ceiling in our kitchen and also where we have blocked up the old door. Can't wait as it will really look like a proper room then and on Tuesday the units can go in and I can have a cooker and hob again!!! Can't wait for it to be finished, the end is now in sight :o)

I've been tagged

I've been tagged my Natalie at Crafting Fun and have to answer 8 questions.

1. If a movie was being made of your life who would you like to be cast to play yourself? and why?
Angelina Jolie, someone once said we looked alike (must have been blind), but I could then get to meet Brad Pitt on set!!!!

2. You are spending a whole month on a desert island for charity and you have to choose your favourite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with & your least favourite celebrity to spend the second two weeks with, who would they be & why?
It would be Sawyer from Lost, as with a body like that it would distract me from now being able to craft and my least favourite would have to be Piers Morgan as I can't stand the man, he's so arrogant.

3. What are your three favourite crafting products?
Stamps, pretty papers and stickles glitter glue

4. If you could invent something to do anything what do you think it would be?
No calorie chocolate and crisps :o)

5. What are the last three books that you read?
I really can't remember to be honest, how bad is that. It will either have been a murder mystery or a good old girlie book

6. QVC or Create & Craft?
QVC, but I don't buy as I think they are too expensive and won't use the stuff

7. Docrafts or Dovecraft or DCWV?
DCWV, although the Dovecraft Masculine has been a life saver

8. What is your claim to fame?
Don't think I really have one to be honest, I was in Oliver when I was at school!

I now have to tag some other people, so I choose Jo, Hans, Tracy, Sarah, Viv and Pam.

Big Thanks to Maria

Oh look what I got today off the lovely Maria from Maria's Cards after my cry for Whipper Snapper and High Hope stamps. I got this lovely wallet card and it was filled with lots of images to play with, thanks so much Maria it really cheered me up this morning.

The electricians have been this morning, so I ended up taking myself out of the house as the drilling and banging was too much. Ended up at the local Craft Central, although I have been very good and only got the cellophanes, double sided tape and foam pads that I needed and no treats. Although the lady did show me the lovely new papers from dovecraft that are out next week and also said that Papermania will be releasing a mens pack of paper!!!

Can I also say a big thanks to everyone who has offered to send me some images, its lovely to know there are so many generous people our there.

Whipper Snapper & High Hopes Images

Some of you may have heard me mention we are having an extension and a new kitchen fitted and I am not on a stash diet until we have paid for it!!! Hopefully this should be by the end of May and then I can treat myself again (although hubby would argue this is a treat to have a lovely new kitchen). I have been admiring all the lovely new Whipper Snapper and High Hopes stamps that everyone has treated themselves too and I am very jealous. Would anyone be so kind as to stamp me a few in exchange for some of my stamps? I hate to ask, but May is so long away!!!

Also, I have hit 20000 hits, which I can't believe. I am going to do a blog candy tomorrow, was going to do it tonight but I can't get a good picture of the Magnolia stamp I am offering :o) I will add it in the morning when I can get some good light.

Anyway, the kitchen arrives tomorrow, I have been knocking our old cupboards off the walls and the tiles off. Rather enjoyed myself to be honest, I do like to make a mess

Tilda & Co Challenge - Ribbons

The challenge this week at Tilda & Co is to use Ribbons on your project, the more the better! This was a tricky one for me as I really don't like to use my ribbons, they are just there to be taken out and stroked every so often and then put back into their jars :o)

Been very hectic weekend, hubby's birthday on Monday so we went out for a meal and a few drinks last night. Blimey I really struggled to get out of bed this morning, don't think I can cope with too much alcohol and we only shared a couple of glasses of wine!!! Going to be a busy week, more work on the house and we have to go over to ikea this week to get some bits that I want, hubby looking forward to that!

Papertake Weekly - Claudia's Box Challenge

The weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is a tutorial by Claudia to make a box from 2 sheets of card. It is so so easy, i hate anything fiddly and wasn't sure if i'd have the patience to make it but it only took about 10 mins to make the box. Decided to decorate in shocking pink and use it to store my new bellas from Tracy at First Class Crafts. Going to make another couple for my Magnolias and Sugar Nellies!!

NB - I thought it needed something else, so I added some prima flowers and brads and now I'm a lot happier!

My mojo has gone!

Well my mojo seems to have gone missing, if anyone finds it can they please send it home!!!! Don't think it helps that we have had a hectic weekend and I'm feeling terrible. We have made 5 trips to the tip with rubbish from our building work and 2 trips to B&Q. Not to mention I've had to get my mum to do our washing as our washing machine has been disconnected until after the new kitchen arrives, so I've had to go over and pick it up from them.

This is another card made using Stamping Bella from First Class Crafts. I coloured this and yesterdays image on Friday night and it's taken me ages to finish this card today!!!
